 Welcome to The Barn at Assington  Our shopping experience in and around The Barn at Assington, Suffolk has now expanded. We are situated just off the A134 between Sudbury and the Dedham Vale and on the Chambers 84 bus route! Our Farm Shop sells locally sourced produce including soft fruits grown in the village plus seasonal vegetables, top quality preserves and deli items. Newspapers, kindling, logs and postage stamps are also available. The Vintage Tea Room Artisans serves morning coffee, homemade soups, lunches, freshly baked cakes, scones and afternoon teas in vintage china cups and saucers! For those who like something a little stronger, we have local wines, beers and ciders to savour. To relax after your meal, there is always a display of local art, Couture Hats and Fascinators and a variety of locally made gifts and crafts including, pottery, jewellery, handbags and now all the delightful gifts from Little Gems Interiors. If you are not yet aware, on the Second Sunday of each month we hold our now well established Farmer's Market with lots of local produce, vegetables and deli items. These will start again in March 2012. Whether you are popping in for last minute supper ingredients or you would like to take your time over a leisurely lunch, buy a gift, or amuse the children (young and old!) with our Farmyard residents including our three Rheas from South America, we have something to suit everyone.
